Reliable, accurate bookkeeping for small businesses, sole traders and landlords in Leicester and across the UK. We keep your records up to date on Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent and other cloud accounting packages, so your VAT, tax and Making Tax Digital deadlines are never a scramble.
Falling behind on bookkeeping is one of the most common, and most avoidable, problems small businesses run into. Missed invoices, unreconciled bank transactions and messy records make VAT returns, tax bills and Making Tax Digital submissions far harder than they need to be. Our bookkeeping service keeps your day-to-day records accurate and current, whether you need a few hours a month of support or a fully managed monthly bookkeeping routine. Because we are also Chartered Accountants, your bookkeeping, VAT and tax return work stays joined up under one firm.

We reconcile your bank and credit card transactions against your invoices and receipts, coding everything correctly so your accounts always reflect what has actually happened in your business.
Your bookkeeping is kept in a Making Tax Digital compliant format throughout the quarter, so when it is time to file we can prepare and submit your VAT return with no last-minute reconstruction of records.
We set you up on Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, FreeAgent or another cloud accounting package, connect your bank feeds and show you how to raise invoices and record expenses, or take on the day-to-day running of software you already use, whichever package suits your business best.
We can raise and send customer invoices, chase overdue payments, and process supplier bills for payment, keeping your cash flow moving without you having to chase it yourself.
We can provide simple monthly profit and cash flow summaries from your bookkeeping records, giving you a clear, current view of how your business is performing between year-end accounts.
Whether you already file quarterly VAT returns or are approaching the Making Tax Digital for Income Tax thresholds, your bookkeeping stays in a fully compliant digital format throughout the year.
Whether you are just down the road in Leicester or based anywhere else in the UK, you get the same close, personal bookkeeping service, just adapted to how you like to work with us.
If your business is in or around Leicester, we are happy to visit you on site to get your bookkeeping set up or talk through your records face to face. If you are further afield, you get the same close service by phone, email and video call, working with the same dedicated bookkeeper throughout rather than a call centre.
We do not outsource any bookkeeping work overseas. Every transaction, reconciliation and report is handled in-house by our own UK-based team, so your financial data and records stay in the UK at all times, and you always know exactly who is working on your accounts.
Most clients simply upload receipts, invoices and bank statements into secure cloud software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage or FreeAgent. If you would rather work with paper records, we can arrange secure courier collection or a postal address, so wherever you are in the UK, getting your paperwork to us safely is never a problem.
Every business is different, so we agree your bookkeeping fee once we understand your transaction volume and how much support you need.

All fees are guide prices, excluding VAT. Your exact fee will depend on your transaction volume, software and how much support you need.
Straightforward answers to the questions we’re asked most.
Bookkeeping costs vary depending on your transaction volume, the software you use and how often you need support. Pay-as-you-go bookkeeping is usually charged by the hour, while a fixed monthly package is more predictable once we understand your volume of transactions. Our bookkeeping fees are £40 per hour for up to 4 hours a month, £35 per hour for 4 to 12 hours a month, £30 per hour for 12 to 32 hours a month, and £27.50 per hour beyond that, with fixed monthly packages quoted after a free initial conversation about your business.
A bookkeeper keeps your day-to-day financial records up to date, recording sales, purchases, bank transactions and VAT so your accounts are accurate and current. An accountant uses those records to prepare your annual accounts, tax returns and financial reports, and provides tax planning advice. As a Chartered Accountancy firm, we offer both under one roof, so your bookkeeping and your accounts are always aligned.
Cloud software like Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and FreeAgent makes bookkeeping easier, but it still needs someone to reconcile transactions, code them correctly, chase missing information and keep everything current. We work with all the major packages, so we can manage your existing software, or set you up on a new one if you are not yet using one.
